I'm having a bump shop paint and install a set of sport mirrors for me. Could someone tell me if they are equal distance from the front edge of the door? In other words are they put in the same spot on both doors ?
Also has anyone ever just let the driver control stay in the door and adjust the mirror manually ? Thanks Rick

I adjust mine manually because the lever inside does not Work very well. They are from a GM car though

They are the same distance on both doors

What I'm wondering is has anybody put the control for the drivers mirror(at the end of the 3 cables) in the door behind the panel and left it there? and just adjusted it by hand ? Has any body just cut the cables off and adjusted it outside ? If not where do you put the hole for the control ? Is it in the door panel or the metal above it ? I have looked in my manuals and can't find a pic anyplace, Thanks Rick

I just saved the pictures to my computer and then printed them out. Make sure when you print them you make them cover the whole page and they are easy to read.

Notice that the drawings don't give actual dimensions for "A, B, C" distances, it just says to duplicate what's on the opposite door. We've seen mirrors installed in three different locations from the factory.

Remember to secure them with riv-nuts and the correct screws. I know someone who just used sheet metal screws into the sheet metal and they worked loose.
