Hey guys im swapping the rear bumpers on my 77 to a 72. One question for now is my old tubular bracket with the square plate how can I remove them? Do they screw out pr should I sawzall / torch them off? Wouldn't mind saving these in case someone here ever needed a set

You're swapping the rear bumper only? Gonna look awfully funny with the front one still on.

They are bolted on, 1 ea side underneath and 2 ea side in the back. If the bolts are seized you may need to cut. Search "bumper swap" to find more info from past projects.

    Good Morning and...:Welcome:...:Handshake
do you have all the parts (brackets) to mount the bumper. as suggested there are a few threads that cover all the parts you will need.

I was looking underneath and it looks like the bracket is bolted behind the spot where my leaf spring is mounted too. If that is the case im cutting them. I don't see any bolts....

I swapped to a small bumper also. Here's where the 3rd bolt was (middle hole).

You may have to jack the car up by the frame to access the bolt above the leaf. The axle hanging should give you room to get on the bolt.
