So, what are you trying to do, minitub the rear end, put bigger tires on, or?? Maybe someone else on this forum has more information, but here is a thread on what people have done to their Fords. The attached picture is what the Mopar guys do to gain a few inches, and I think the shackle extenders are made by Detroit Speed & Engineering. Maybe they could be mod'd to fit the Maverick. Also, I think Crites makes a kit, but I don't know about quality of fitment. http://cometcentral.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2251
Here is another thread; http://forums.vintage-mustang.com/m...-leaf-spring-mods-accomodate-wider-tires.html
Thanks, that is what Im looking for. Yup Im gonna tub it, mostly for a few inches and better looking wheels. I think I can re enforce the crites kit.
Resto, E-mail me and I'll send you a zipfile of pix of my spring setup. I made mine from scratch based on the Crite's kit. To get full advantage, the rails will need work too. I'm running a 325DR with plenty of room.
I used RAS pics to do my car and then made offset shackles like in the first pic posted by olerodder. I have a building in the projects section with pics
