trip to junk yard found 7 parts cars?

i went to a junk yard today and found 5 mav's and two comets all big bumper cars. except for 1 73 4dr comet. here is the catch i was told you have to buy the whole car for $800. this is the first time i came across this. i got in my car, never to return again. the junk yard is highway auto in eynon pa. has anybody heard of this?

That is just plain strange from a business stand point. Unless he really does get people dumb enough to pay that much for a parts car. But I doubt he gets very many to pay it. There was one yard near me that had alot of classic cars in it. He wanted to clear out most of the oldies and just deal with newer late model parts. He passed the word onto some of the bigger car clubs that any classic could be "adopted" for $200 and stripped bare by the person choosing that car. He had some takers but not many. Everything older then 1993 was sent to the crusher.

i had one here in az that told me if you want a part, buy the whole car. considering what the rest of the car looked like i said no thanks. funny thing is i can't even remember what part i was looking for guess i got CRS.
