My son and I found a 71 or 72 Grabber in the Junke (Junk Yard) with bucket seats. They are in good shape but have been reupholstered in an 80's style. Does anyone make upholstery kits for the Mavericks? Or do any upholstery kits for the front buckets from a Mustang or Torino fit?

If they are high backs, get the '69-70 Mach 1 upholstery. It fits, and looks good.

I spoke with Fred a few weeks ago at Ford Carlisle. He is still making them and has sold quite a lot of sets. I have seen his work first hand and it is excellent. His number is 401-739-4462

As a matter of fact I'm sending Fred a check this morning for a set for my 72 Comet GT (front and rear). His e-mail is fredcarello@yahoo.com. He is even going to start making the buttons for my seats and should have some by labor day. Fred is a great guy to deal with. His upholstery is fantastic.

Yep $500 for the front and back, $300 just for the front. This is for my 72 Comet GT.

I just had mine redone. I did leather but the price would have been 200$ per seat for vinyl, so 400$ for the front buckets. This price includes new foam.

Hey guys, I've found a set of deluxe high back buckets from a 1970 Mustang, will the Grabber foam work on this particular seat, I'd like the seats to look like the Grabber?

70 seat frames are different from the 71 and up seats found in Mavs/Comets.
I have to say though...The 70 seats are more comfortable than the later ones, more cushioning for the rump/back. The foam for maverick seats wont work on the 70 frames...Get foam for a 70 mustang seat, then get some mustang upholstery or have custom skins made for your seats to match the Mav upholstery patterns...

And yes Fred makes awsome upholstery for our cars...Got a set for my blu mav from Fred, beautiful stuff.
