This is a 1972, all original down to the paint and interior, I called about a roller motor they had advertised and when I told him what we were building he said "follow me" and around back this sit, runs and drives, good tires, needs carb rebuilt and a tune up but other than that runs like a champ, I couldn't pass it up.

    Check this

notice the name "Aclin" on the trunk lid, that is a Ford dealer here in Jacksonville, Ar. out of business for over 25 years now The car was purchased there, one owner, has 97k original miles, as you can see the interior is perfect and original, even has all the Ford Motor Co hubcaps..........I just couldn't believe it. I'm going to have a hard time using it for parts as it needs a couple hundred dollars in tune up, battery and it's a driver!

However once we get what we need I'll be parting it out so keep watch anyone needing certain parts, there is absolutely no rust other than the hood which I don't understand exactely how the hood rusted but nothing else did:huh:

Cant see parting out a complete running car with no rust issues. Even if its a 4 door. That car has a lot of life left in it.

    may not

We might just exchange the bumpers out with our 73 and let it live awhile, depends on how many other parts we end up needing off it....but it is a 4 door with no AC, PS or PB......will see?

My 1972 Orange Grabber sold new at that dealership. I would love to have a close up picture of that decal. If you have any other info from that dealer, I would love to have that as well.

I vote for saving the car.

i also agree, let it live. these cars are becoming fewer in numbers as time goes by. its a solid four door that needs minor work and im sure an inthusiest out there would love to have it if you dont want to keep it.

    yes

After looking over the car well I agree it is too nice a car to gut out, we are going to take the small bumbers and put our 73 bumpers back on it but it is a daily driver for sure, everything is tight, all glass is good, even the original decal in the trunk showing the jack operation is in good condition along with the spare, jack, tire hold down,

I would appreciate anything you could find.

Mavericks never had an interior like that. Get the trim code off of the driver's door and let us know what it is.

    ok

here is the code off the door, the BB trim code is for Medium Blue-Check B/Cloth and Corinth. Vinyl which is exactely what it appears to be to me however I'm still learning so please tell me if I'm misunderstanding, also here is a pic of that Ford dealer someone ask about as well as the headrest someone wants to buy if I part this car out, also notice the tire changing original decal in trunk lid...and the pic of the ashtray for rear passengers mounted on front seat back...it all sure looks original to me
