What's the best product to use to clean electrical connections? Especially the female plugs.

    Thanks

Stabilant 22A is one of the best ways. However one of the main, or key ingredients is Isopropanol Alcohol - which eats oil, dust and grime away... so thats an option and you can pick it up for around pennies on the dollar at a local thrift store, or drug store. Also, some older people use WD-40, which works pretty good, but has a while to dry and can sometimes leave a small film.

if you can get a small piece of sandpaper in there, or a small round file to scuff up the contacts that helps, then use a solvent or electrical contact cleaner, they sell them at places like advance auto parts, pep boys, autozone... etc...

    hope that helps.

Ammonia followed by denatured alcohol (in the paint department at the hardware store) the ammonia will remove any corrosion ( a little help from a small contact brush helps) and the alcohol will remove grease and wax based crud. The small wire brushes should be available at your local auto parts house.
