lifter problem

    I have a 250 engine with a noisy lifter, but is not noisy all the time. I just want to know if in the 250 engine the lifter can be adjust or are they self adjust. I've heard that some engines you can adjust the tap by tighten it a quarter of a turn. help

    The 250 does not have adjustable lifters. The rocker arm is tighten down. You could have a sticky lifter.
