I removed cylinder head of my 73 ,6 cylinder 250 engine , now I want to install new lifters. My question is do I just remove old lifters and drop in new lifters or do I have to fill new lifters with oil? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Jerry

I would pre pump them up with oil....and put some cam lube on the lifter face that rides on the cam...This is what I do when I change both cam and lifters.....the same procedure should apply in your case....Good Luck..
