What made you decide on Pro Comp heads?

We are in the same boat lol, I started my 408 build yesterday, it's been raining so I am being slow about it, pistons going in today, I wonder about the Pro Comp head choice also.

To be honest price . My guy who is advising me with my build has used a large number of sets of these on chevys with good results . Wanted to due a set of Fords . So I'am the test dummy. I was going to iron gt40 heads but by the time bought the used heads did all the machine work ( seats , guides , valve replacement , surface , magnaflux ) all I had add was $200. to $ 300. and I have new heads.

It'll be interesting to see how they work for you. I saw a dyno test not long ago where they base lined a 350 Chevy with stock heads and then changed to Pro Comps and retested. The Pro Comps lost 25 hp vs. the stock heads...
