    Hey guys
I'm running a HEI distributor now and late model alternator & a/c compressor.
I wanted to know if I could remove/cleanup some of the engine compartment wiring since I won't be using the ignition module anymore. I know I will have to splice the new connectors onto the old wires to get the alt and a/c hooked up. Mainly just want to know If I can do anything with the the two large plug connectors that went to the ignition module?

    Any help is greatly appreciated
    Thanks all

If they aren't hooked to anything anymore, I don't see why you couldn't get rid of them. You shouldn't have to mess with the alternator wiring since it is not directly hooked to the ignition module in any way. You could always go with a one wire alternator though if you want to get rid of the voltage regulator and all that wiring below the starter solenoid.

can they (ignition module) wires be unplugged from the connectors at the firewall, or will they have to be cut away from the harness?

You will have to cut them out of the harness.
