Anybody know who is the proud owner of this car? Beautiful custom work on the spoiler, scoops, and center console.

Looks like "facelessnumber" is the owner, as he uploaded the pictures. Nice work! Here's a picture of the spoiler.

A guy down here in the Phoenix area had it built and owns it, he listed it for sale a while ago but wanted like $20k for it. Facelessnumber does not own it, He just posted the pic. the owner does not visit the board often or at all.

Ive seen it in person a couple times. Some nice craftsmanship on it but also some personal touches that would make it hard to sell, like the color and interior. Well done but a little over the top.

Agreed on the interior, a little too gaudy. I've always wondered what a taller rear spoiler would look like and this is the first one I've seen anybody pull off. As for the color, it's great! Of course I might be a little biased as I own a 72 Grabber with factory bright lime paint...:thumbs2:

I like the color myself as well.

As for the spoiler.. I feel that it's just a tiny bit too tall for the cars proportions.. maybe only by about a half inch or so, though. Conversely.. I think the factory spoiler is about a 1/2 - 3/4 too short.

I think that people doing these kinds of mod's fall victim to the "if I'm going to spend the time and money?.. I may as well go big" syndrome. Kind'a like b-cup to d-cup boob jobs on a smaller frame. Sometimes.. of course not always.. going with the slightly more conservative c-cup would have been juuusst right. :yup:

'Sorry, that's some of the most hideous stuff I've ever seen done to a Maverick. I like the wheels though.

What do you think is hideous?

Looks good minus the vents and front spoiler.

I think overall the car looks good but I'm just not with the body vents. Also does it look like the spoiler is molded into the body? If so it would be a place for a crack to appear later on :)

I think overall it's a pretty cool car. I would have painted it a slightly brighter lime, applied the black Grabber decals on the sides, lost the front fender scoop, painted the front spoiler black, stuck with a factory black bucket interior, replace the wheels with Magnum 500's, and painted the tail panel black and the spoiler and extensions green instead of black.

Mostly the scoops. They basically ruin the car.

Personally, I love this car. I've been using it as inspiration for my car's future. I won't do the vents, but I will do the taller spoiler and those exact rims.
