I am looking to replace the rear interior panels in my '72 Grabber. I was doing some investigation with the search function and I'm pretty sure I found all of the differences in the years, but I didn't see anything on the difference between 2 and 4 doors(if there is any). I know that I need the late '72 and up panels that have the cut outs for the seat belts. My question is will the rear panels from a 4 door fit a 2 door? Also, would I be better off sticking with '72-'73 panels? Thanks in advance!
I guess any color because I can paint them, but black is preferred. I just want to make sure they are in very good condition.
This article should help anyone with questions about the rear interior panels, but still no mention about the difference between 2 doors and 4 doors. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=35488&highlight=panels+101
Here are 4-door panels. They are laying on their side in the pic. They are tall and narrow...not short and wide.
I have the...70-71 panels in my 73, I didn't care for the seat belt opening... I also replaced the glove box with a 70-71 tray... and have the 70-71 doors (for the arm rests)...
You will want 1972-1973 2-door panels. 1974 and up are different because of how the front retractable seat belt is installed.
I have a set of black panels, I think they are the 72-73 pieces but I'll have to check. They have some fading at the top but other than that they aren't bad at all.
There are pictures of the panels here. They look to be the 72-73 and I think that's what Craig said last time I offered them up for sale. http://s516.photobucket.com/user/rickmmiller/slideshow/Mav parts
