    Hi Guys

I posted a question about this a few weeks ago and I think this person selling this was asking $4,000 back then and they didnt sell it. I've been in contact with the seller and they sent me this email:

Dan, yes the car is still available. From what I know about the car I'm the 3rd owner. The body on the car is almost perfect. There are no dents and no rust. This car is in great shape. It was painted a couple of years ago before I got it.

It's for sale again and I'm thinking about picking it up as I think I can get it for around $3,000. Here's how the ad reads:

this is a very nice 1970 maverick in great condition. it is a 6 cyl automatic. the ext is silver blue w/blk int. everything on the car works, the cars was painted about 2-1/2 years ago. it has 84,000 miles on it. this is a great daily driver. the int is in great shape. asking $3500 obo

What do you guys think? Does $3,000 sound ok? I had a 70 Maverick as my first car back in 79 but I wrecked it and over the years i always thought about getting another one. Any guidance would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Dan

Dan if it is in fact an excellent driver like stated in the ad & if the body is as straight as it sounds & if it is rust free I would say it's a fair price. Just my opinion. Good luck with it.(y)

Sounds like a Good price. Have you looked at it yet? Is it in a salt free state and has it been all its life? I live in a salt state and see all the time what it can do and how well that can hide in pix's. Just my 2 cents Good Luck!

    dplitt,
If it is rust free yeah, but like Rayzorsharp said I'd like to see some pics. It is amazing what some people think is rust free!
    Good luck

It is amazing....over the years "rust free" has gone froma state of fact to a matter of opinion.

you might want to bring a fridge magnet just in case. who knows how much bondo could still be pretty well hidden under such "fresh" paint. but if its as good as the seller states that that is a fair price.

    good luck
