    Ok,

Craig...Washington D.C. is about 4 hours away. Same distance pretty much as Roanoke, Va. just a little quicker. I would rather much like to come even If I can't get my Mav completely finished by then. There are a few Mavericks running around these parts (NOW):slap: , maybe I should've patented my car since there were no nice ones running in these parts untill i opened a few eyes about 8 years ago. Ha ha.
Maybe I could get them to round up a few more Mavericks to go. There is a shortage of good Classic Ford shows.

Ok, now.... If I went with a 9", how would I go about doing that? Specialty modded 9" for sale? used 9" for sale? etc? Money will be a factor, I need to keep the whole thing below 600 or so. I get a rather nice overtime check next month. :bouncy:

Now, it would seem that theres a toss up between 9" and 8". I would've figured the Pinion bearing/pinion support shaft is the baby that takes so much abuse, since some of the 28 spline axles seem to do nicely on the 8's. I'm not above going to a 9", just where can i get one and how much really is the factor. But, a lot, repeat, a lot of people seem to think the 8" is a fat kid gone skinny and can take a lot of abuse. I'm still up in the air.
    Keep helping guys.

    Thanks again.

If you don't have the dough, just build your 347 and whoop up on your current 8" while you save for a good rear.
With any luck, it will last long enough for you to be able to afford a new one.
You ought to check with Mavaholic, he is in MD and had some 9" rears for sale. IIRC it was him...
