    yes a centrifical supercharger like the one you posted will work, you will just need a few different misc parts, the one shown is for an injected engine. youll need a pressure box for your carb, and your carb will need some mods as well.
    I'm sure a few of the "more in tune" underhood blower guys will chime in with what I left out.

    theres actually a guy that brings a supercharged 302 maverick around to some of the local cruises. its a really nice car but i doubt that that 302 under it is anywhere close to stock.

    whats a recommended compression ratio to stay under for a supercharger like this?

    most stay around 8:1 to 8.5:1 anymore

    The lower pressure you start with the more you can add. stay under 8.5:1 and 8:1 is almost ideal unless you are set up to deliver the higher pressures that a 6 or 7:1 ratio would need to perform correctly.
