OK, so I am looking over the Marti report I got for my 71. Maybe you guys can shine a little light on the value of these supposed “deluxe” reports. The $46 I paid seems like a complete waste of time and money.

Why doesn’t it indicate how many Grabbers total were produced total for 1971? Seems to be an easy number to throw on it? It doesn’t even show how many 2 door Mavericks were made.

The 140,000th car off the line for 1971 is relevant how? At least the number Maverick off the line would be useful to some. I am assuming the KC plant produced more than just Mavericks? At least not only 2 doors.

Paint and paint trims codes show different produced but at the bottom it says for “1971 Ford Maverick 2-door Grabber” Did they make different trim codes for the Grabber?

For $220, they will give you a window sticker, door plate and more “useful” stats. What Mr Marti, $46 is not enough for the complete stats? Come on, I know it’s a report ran on a database! Why is the useful stuff costing us more?

Couple of simple questions for you guys….
What is the interior trim option on a Grabber? How many Grabbers were produced in 1971? How about 2 door maverick numbers?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Joe

When you asked for the report, you could have had him put in the facts that you wanted. That is what I did.

You paid to get stats on YOUR CAR ... not Grabber or Maverick sales in general ... Grabbers were a distinct model separate from regular Mavericks so all stats and numbers are for Grabbers ... not Mavericks in general ...

    Off the subject but
Don't know when they changed over to 1972 models but I would think 7/27/71 has to be among the last 1971's

I know Kevin had to pay BIG bucks to get the entire Ford database.....plus he has to pay BIG bucks to be able to sell the reports as an Official Licensed Ford Product.

I found your report very usefull. Ford made 38,965 Grabbers in 1971. Of that....only 518 came in that color of Pastel Blue. That is extremely rare!! And only 90 came with your interior and exterior paint color. Wow!!

Would have been nice if he broke down the stats to more what people are interested in ... like how many came with a 302 and of those how many where Automatic .... Then we would have useful stats like how many V8/C4 Grabbers there were and how many V8/3SPD Grabbers there were. I would love to see Buckets vs. Bench broken down as well ...

If my car were 302 and buckets I would request a Deluxe report with that information in the Stat Box .... but since I don't .... I can't ... :)

From what I understand, most of the info that he has, came to him on paper, so he or someone else had to enter into their computers, thats a lot of paper. I think it's good information for the money. $46 American is now only $44.47 Canadian, and I spend more that that on beer some weeks.

I had about the same conversation when I enquired about Sprint statistics for my registry. I wanted a completer breakdown of all Maverick Sprints but I would have had to give him, basically, a blank check.

I personally don't think that's a bad price for what you got. Like Dan Hines said, these are stats on your car. How many shows have you gone to and seen this type of stats displayed with Chevies or Mopars? I bet they would love to be able to get their hands on a report like this. I'm just tickled pink that he can get me stats on my individual car. I've seen lots of these reports just like the one you have here so I already knew what comes in them. I will be ordering 3 of these reports within the next few months...maybe even one of the big ones.
You gotta think about it like this...$46 doesn't go very far any more...supper with you and the wife (or girlfriend) or maybe a tank of gas. Well heck, that's gone in no time flat. That report will be with you forever. And as long as Marti is the only one with access to this kind of information he's pretty much got us by the marbles. If he decides to go up, people are just gonna have to ante up. I'll try to get all of mine before they do go up and if not, so be it. :2cents:

    Thanks for the info all.

I am not slamming Mr Marti. I know he needs to make a buck and I found what I got somewhat useful as well. The point is that the report is, imo, too expensive for a report obviously void of what should be very easy obtainable information for him. It also contains, imo. some that is extremely irrelevant.

Will I buy one for my 70, No.

    Just one mans opinion.

Does anyone know what the Elite report contains? Thanks again.
