Ever see a Maverick Pickup?How about tubbed?

Here,s the next project at my shop,It,s an early '70 that was converted into a pickup in 1972 according to my customer,it had a 302 auto put in it when it was modified and current owner chased this Maverick for almost 30 years before he was able to buy it.I'm going to back half it,4 link,cage and Must II the front,it will have a 420cu in Windsor with Powerglde,It,s being built to drive on the street but owner does a lot of 'Flashlight Drags".He's currently running a super nice '62 Falcon Sprint with 347 Blower motor,it,s really quick.I thought I would show the process of tubbing a Maverick on the forum,not a full tech. article just the basics,so follow along...what do you think of the panel paint with lace on the roof?really dates the car from when I remember lace!(When chassis done owner is having stripped and painted solid color)The workmanship on this was really done nice,it sure is a little different.....31,000 org.miles

Dave,see if you can find any of those pics.It's been around western PA most of it's life,I would like to know more about it myself.

Those pictures have been floating around forever, I always thought it was something that was done in Brazil (I guess I never looked at the license plate) Anyways it's really cool to see it!!
And Craig, it must be the paint fumes.....
