Yes the 69 1/2's were titled as 70's.
The easiest way to spot a 69 1/2 is the ignition switch. 69 1/2 is mounted in a bezel at the base of the dash. 1970 was in the column.

How wild that that thing is still around. I also figured it went to the crusher years ago.
    Cool.

How cool would it be if that thing received a grabber hood, Grabber Blue paint scheme a Better back window treatment and made to look as if it came from the factory that way. !

I may upset some folks, but I think tubbing it will improve it....Another thing that never looked just right to me is the rear top post... too thin....if it had a sail panel like an early El Camino it would flow better with the body lines. There is a Pinto running around Birmingham that was a wagon and now is a mini Ranchero like that, and it too has the thin rear roof pilar, throws off the other body lines to me. Oh, and I think a Grabber hood would fit in good, but I'd paint it with one of the dayglo colors available now, like a bright lime or a plum , something to make it stand out even more!

First of all I love the paint scheme. I love the whole idea and it is awesome just like it was.

Since he's tubbing it and modifying it, can I have the sidepipes? I am having a Hell of a time finding those style pipes.

I'm not surprised that the original pictures were taken in a trailer court. Looked like something "Earl" would drive.

I'm going to go on a hunger strike until the owner agrees to keep the original paint scheme.

If he refuses, and I starve to death, he'll be sorry then! :16suspect

That thing is a legend and an icon of the Maverick history.

Sorry Ray, I found this statement in your contract, "All post are the opinion of the poster and not necessarily the opinions of the board, and are not transferable." Actually Rick, I got 2 dollars in nonsequential, unmarked bills that I'll send ya if you give them to me. Nobody will have to know :D
