Ok i have 75 maverick with a 250 i6, i decided i wanted a temperature gage so i went and bought a little mechanical one to mount under my dash. Would anyone happen to know where i plug in the sensor?, the instructions say to put it place of warning light sensor, i have found 2 places that i think are it, one towards the rear on the engine block and one a little above it on the head. anyone ever install a temp gage on one of these?
Water Temp Gauge?? The stock sensor is in the front of the intake manifold ... right on top .... that's where I put my aftermarket sensor. I'm actually using aftermarket gauges for both oil pressure and temp and since they are electric I am using aftermarket senders. I didn't connect my idiot light sensors back up and to my surprise the idiots light to not indicate any problems ... I figured they would light up if disconnected.
