when we find out what it will cost for tooling and set up,, and if these are some thing that is going to be in a large numbers,, the prices will be very sweet,, the more that is made the cheaper they get,, so that makes it easier as well,, I will get working on this this week and see if I cant get these moving for us,, I need 6 sets of them as well,, If every one could as well E-mail RPS and let Tony know,, he will keep track of the numbers of sets we will need to produce,,, www.restorationpartssource.com

that way when we get the pricing and delivery date,, You will all get E-mailed letting you know and also will have pics,,

    Thank you

    Window gaskets

He is talking about the popout windows on a 2 door. There is an odd sized 1 piece gasket/windlace that is not reproduced....yet.

Ok You asked for them,,,and they are going to be coming out,,,Finally solved the rear quarter window Gasket issue, The Material was located,,, and samples are on there way to us now,, we are going to make a design change that Ford should have done after the first car was made,,, I am sure every one knows that at the top corner by the door that should have been also a spliced 90* as they did on the bottom,, I have seen so many pull away at that top corner and it always seems to be an Issue.
So,,, that gasket will be re-engineered to fit the top corner just as well as it does at the bottom,, I hope this will be fine for every one,, the new Unit will also be a tad longer and fit allot snugly so as they start to dry instead of shrinking and allowing the gasket to pull away,, the extra length will keep that from happening,,

So If there is any one who thinks this redesign is not a good Idea Please speak up before we have tooling made up and go into production,, and all those who would like to purchase these when on the market,,, Please send your E-mails to RPS att, Tony.

www.restorationpartssource.com I know many of you have shown interest is these parts,, If you had these parts on your list that was sent to RPS,, we will still have it,,
If these parts were not on your parts list,,, Please send your E-mail to RPS,, We need to know how many sets are going to be produced,, and that will also efect the cost per-set,,

    Thank You

    Joe

I would not recommend making them any larger. I have never seen them shrink up. Yes....the door ones shrink up....but I have never seen the quarter window weatherstrip shrink up.

Craig,, How do you feel about the top corner being made to seat better,,? Do you think having the angle splice at that top corner will work better,,?

I don't think that would work better. A round corner will prevent a water leak better than a squared off corner. That is why the factory has round corners at the door corners, top quarter window corners, and the top rear window corners.

Going to make a sharp bend at the top instead of a 90* splice,,,,,,
