...trunk thingy ?

has anyone else seen the trunk tentioner on both sides?
the car Fred brought to the teardown only had 1, Jasons 4dr had one on each side...
i would think it would have been part of the Grabber pkg.

I have had my 4 door for 3 years and never had the trunk open because the previous owner had lost the key several years earlier. I guess I'll have to try and get it open next weekend and see if it has two. Wonder whats in there.

 

that's strange...isn't the 4dr. trunk lid lighter than the 2dr, plus some with the spolier?

I once had a 4 door lid that someone said would fit and I remember it was kinda heavy. My lid (2dr) used to stay up, but since I added the spoiler, it's ready to come down with the slightest bump or movement once you steady it in the up position.

 

Yup, I've only seen that on 4 doors.

 

yep, same thing as is on my 74 and 73 4door.

 

Yep....4-doors had 2.

 

Just take the back seat out and reach through with a long pair of needle nose pliers and unhook the spring and bar then use a long screwdriver.
