    Take measurements of them mounts!
    Could they be fabricated?

I don't know. To be honest, I don't even know what they look like yet. These were pretty hard for the guy in Brazil to find, he basically found the full set a few pieces at a time at different junkyards and stuff the way I understand it. Plus they come at a relatively hefty price, once you factor in shipping from Brazil and everything. I think the easiest way would be to just make use of the fox body Mustang mounts, you can see in the original pics I posted how easy it would be to make something work with those.

maybe they're similar and fox body mounts were made from that design. Gonna have to wait until Jamie let us know the details.

You REALLY need to let someone borrow those motor mounts and have a few sets fabbed. At the rate you're going, you're success is going to cause a big need for those.

Seriously, if I can help, let me know. I have done work with a local metal fabricator before (Dallas TX), and they are reasonable. BTW, GREAT work!!

I agree it'd be nice of him to let someone fab them up, but it'd have to be someone he trusts really well, as they may end up walking away. lol

I would be more then happy to let someone borrow them to make copies. I wouldn't mind having another couple of sets myself. But, like Andy said, it would definitely have to be someone trustworthy, and I would want the original mounts back in the same condition I sent them within a reasonable amount of time.

At least have them blueprinted so we can download the plans and have them made ourselves without you losing the originals.

As much as I'd like to have them reproduced, my hours are going to be picking back up at work soon, right now I'm blessed just to have a little time to work on my car every weekend. That won't be the case soon. I really just don't have the time or money for any little side projects like that, and certainly do not want to deal with the transactions and shipping them out and all that. Like I said, if someone else wants to take that on, I'd be happy to loan the originals out.

Lance, that is something I have been thinking about with my '73 4 door. Turbo 4 (at least 300 horsepower), done up in the "Mavstang" style with the '69 Mustang front end. Now that's a Maverick. :)

I've been trying to upload the video of it running to YouTube for the past hour now, but my computer keeps messing up. I'm going to try one more site, but if that dosen't work, then it's going to have to wait until I can use my dad's computer tomorrow.

I do have the codes though. These are the KOEO (Key On Engine Off) codes, I haven't had the thing running long enough yet to get any KOER codes. Here are the codes:

    "On Demand Codes"
334 - EGR valve position sensor voltage high
    126 - Barometric/MAP range
118 - Engine coolant temperature sensor voltage high

    "Keep Alive Codes"
    542 - Fuel pump secondary (?)
566 - SS 3-4 failure (whatever that means)
629 - Torque converter clutch circuit failure
588 - EGR vacuum regulator circuit failure
565 - Cannister purge solenoid failure
519 - Power steering pressure circuit open
    522 - Not in park/neutral

It's amazing the thing runs. :biglaugh:

That's why OBDI rocks! You can cancel stuff and the ECM will accept it.

Done a little research, and found that code 566 is just because the auto transmission isn't there anymore. Codes 629, 519 and 522 are obvious also, and I will cancel them.

Mainly, I am concerned with these codes:

334 - EGR valve position sensor voltage high
    126 - Barometric/MAP range
118 - Engine coolant temperature sensor voltage high
588 - EGR vacuum regulator circuit failure

I could just cancel these codes also, but my gut feeling is they are pointing to legitimate issues that need to be taken care of.

I also wonder about "542 - Fuel pump secondary" and "565 - Cannister purge solenoid failure". What cannister is it talking about?

The engine runs and revs up fine, but it seems to idle way too high. I don't have a tach hooked up, but I would guestimate it's idling at 1500+ RPM for the first few minutes it runs. With manual trans, I don't think I would be able to get it in gear at those RPM's. I'm wondering if code 522 has something to do with the high idle, maybe the computer thinks the car is in gear and is idling it up, since it is an auto transmission computer...?

I'm still working on getting the video uploaded, keep having problems.

[IMG] this is the canister Jamie
    [IMG]this is the purge valve
on the left side of this valve goes to the intake manfld
and the elbow side goes to the canister and there's also a hose that runs from the gas tank to the canister so the engine burns the fumes that comes from the tank
the E.C.U knows that's not hooked up.

Ah, so basically that does the same job as the original charcoal cannister did. I was just going to keep the charcoal cannister in place, and run the hose from it into the air filter box. Looks like I need to go junkyard hunting again this weekend.

what about the ECU, are you replacing it for a manual transmission version?
