I need a set of the 73-77 Deluxe panels... Same ones Dave posted a pic of, but I'd want a different color.

Joe, if these are pretty much made to order, could the woodgrain be replaced with brushed aluminum?
Black deluxe with brushed aluminum in place of the wood...

So is it the style that I posted the picture of? I think we need a straight answer, and a few more details (materials, medallion material and design, colors). No use getting everyone all excited again..

That is the ones we call Grabber,, The reproduction pannels have the factory style Medalians on them,, we just tell them Ford or Mercury and they take it from there,, if there is a few diferant medalians,, then we can send them those samples as well,,

Here is the Details you need,,, We are trying to get door pannels made up.

    We need Feed back.

How many want or need them.

We are going to have samples made to show every one pic's of the product.

Any Changes that need to be made so these look like Factory parts will be brought to every one on the Forum to work out the details.

    That should be Straight enough,,:Handshake

I think the biggest question will be: Will they be for the early style (70-72) or late style handles (73-77)

The inside material (wood) backing is perferated for either or,, just cut out for what style you need,,, early or late model,, we did this so we could save cost in production and bring that savings to the comunity.

Here is a awesome Idea,, Lets get the samples made,, Then work with the company to make the changes,,

But we need an Idea of how many need the parts,,,,(y)

This gives us an Idea of how many we are going to negotiate the price for.

Then we can tell all here what it will cost per set,,

Then we say make us a couple of samples,, Post pics,, work out the details on here,,, give the factory our feed back,, and the Maverick/Comet comunity has another new part available.:bananaman

    I am confused.

The panel and door handle/arm rest location in Dave Boyer's pic...
That is the one you are refering to as "Grabber"?
Is that wood tape and all, in the same shape?

If so, that is the one I am calling "Deluxe", and the arm rest style is the 73-77 that I am looking for.

So, we are not on the same wave length, but it appears the one I need is one you are planning, and therefore a request for a new part is not needed.

I brought up the idea of replacing the wood tape with aluminum tape, but that's not a deal breaker for me. I just figured since a company that deals with interiors would have both in hand as they are both very common 70s interior trim parts. It would be just as easy to stick one tape as the other is all I was thinking. Easier even than unrolling the different color of vinyl that is requested.

    Just a thought.

If they didn't cost a mint, I'd buy a set.
It's hard for me to say "sign me up" without a price, just like it's hard for you to give a price without some commitment. Catch 22.

There is no comitment,,, we just need to hear from those that need or want them,, then we can work out the pricing,,, I am all for having a few diferant styles to work with,, But no one makes anything for our cars,,
I have to go to these places and tell them (hey) What about Us in the Maverick/Comet comunity and work with them to get things made for us here,,
So I need every one here to help me help you. I first want to bring out the popular door pannels,, the cheap standard one and a Delux,, for those of us that do not have any pannels at all,, that atleast gives us the ability to get more of our cars done at a nice price,,
If the Brushd aluminum was a factory style I am sure they can do that,, and I am all for it as well,, and taking a custom order I am sure will be no problem,, But lets get our foot in the door,,:thumbs2:

That won't work ... not on the deluxe one's anway .... The shape of the woodgrain is completely different ... they are not in any way interchangeable.

    Gotcha!

Put me down for a set of 75 Deluxe ("Grabber") panels.
Vinyl color probably black, but might change... I am thinking about a color change while it's a fresh pallete.

I'd like to say I want a set for the Sprint, but one thing at a time.

If you don't want to have to pitch 4 right away, you may have to pick one style of each year type...
Find out which 69-72 style will sell the most, deluxe or standard, and go with that for the early style. Then figure out which will sell for the 73-77 panel.
Otherwise you will need to go with 2 deluxe and 2 standard panels from the start, going by what you are saying.

I would take a poll of early buyers, go with that pattern, and then the same for the later buyers. Has to be 'likely buyers' too, not just a public opinion poll.
