I posted this in Whisky's thread but it seams kind of buried so I've re-posted it here. I've attached a photoshopped Midnight Blue version of the Europa GT250 that I rendered at lunchtime today. I'm hoping that somebody, someday will build a replica of this awesome car. It sure has a great presence and deserves to prowl the streets once more!! Take care. Ed Bennett (Jr) d2dz
Someday I have to learn how to use that program. I have it, just don't use it. Not a bad job there, Ed! You added color to the car, rearranged the trees, built a stone wall and changed the season to Fall all during lunch! Seth
I always wondered if you could use the chrome trim with the grabber spoiler. Looks good in those pics.
Don, Would love to build it but the usual suspects always pop up...lack of time and funds being #1 and 2 and the Wife & Kids being #3. Being in the parts business for 35 years and seeing hundreds of customer cars, I've really grown to love this car. I hope to build one someday. Dennis, I can't wait to see the dark blue car when you're done with it. I know it will be impressive (just like the rest of them). It is definitely one of my personal favorite colors. Take care. Seth, My full-time job is an artist. I've been an artist longer than I've sold parts with my Dad. Photoshop is one of three or four programs I use on a daily basis. Once you know how to use the layers and filters it becomes quite easy to retouch images. That image took me only a little over 45 minutes. The background image and the wheels, bumper and grass were all clipped from google images. All just tricks of the trade. Just mess around with the tutorials or the actual program when you get the chance and the practice will pay off. Ed
Lee Richart had a '71 GT back in the 80's-dark blue with a black vinyl top. It was a drag car. He was supposed to send me a copy of the pic he had at the MCCI Roundup Nationals this year. Maybe he will post it hear for color comparison??? Lee?
