They had it listed wrong. I was looking for a new dome light when I cam across it.

I do have one question. Was this available on a 69.5? Not that it matters, I am just curious.

I feel bad when I bid on stuff in the last ten seconds. I do feel like I stole it. It's like I am not playing by the rules, but I can't tell you how many times it has happened to me.

Nice job finding that auction, mis-listed as it was.

It is called sniping ... don't feel bad about it, that is how a lot of heavily-contested auctions end on eBay. Some auctions, I have been 1 of 10 people stabbing it at the last minute.

My philosophy about bidding on eBay is that I am either the one of the first bidders or the last bidder. If the price is super-low and little activity, I throw a comfortable bid at it. If there are already a number of bidders interested, then there is no sense in driving the price up ... snipe away.

With regard to the gas cap ... here is a neat trick for to make that lens look better ... try using Future acrylic floor treatment. Set the cap up horizontally, because Future self-levels and pour just enough in there to make a layer about 1/16 of an inch thick. You might be surprised how much better it looks.
