Grills with different lamps colors?

    I have a grill from a 71' grabber that has clear lamp lense covers and now I have a 73' 4 door maverick that has the amber lamp lense cover. Is that the difference that the grabbers got the clear ones or did they just changed colors at one point? Thanks Robert

    69 1/2, 70 Maverick and 71 Grabber
    The 71 grabber lights were sport lamps, turn signals are under the bumper. The ones in your 73 grill are turn signals.

    Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
    ^ +1 they also some came in differant texture and some of the late model ones are one peice and fully plastic. seems pre 74 had two piece ones made of pot metal.

    Thanks, also I would like to order one of those spoiler kits when you get some made. How long do you think it we be? No big rush, I just started on the old 70' maverick and a long ways to go. Thanks Robert:thumbs2:

    Will the clear lens interchange with the amber lens? I'm thinking of using my 74 parking light housing for sport lamps when I do the small bumper swap

    in the grille i have...clear lens with amber bulbs for turn signals/parking lights.

    i have the ones under the bumper for fog lights...with clear lens.
