theres not to much of a money difference but it depends how much your dads Grabber means to you. if its reasonable to restore the grabber i would since it has more personal value to you! :thumbs2:

Depends on your personal preference really.. As far as value goes... These cars aren't at and probably will never be at the level of other Fords from the era(except for the Pinto LOL)

Bottom line: Fix the LEAST rustiest car. Whether or not it is a TRUE Grabber is meaningless in my 42 year old opinion.

If it were me I'd have to fix my father's car. No real reason other than the mental game/sentimental reasons.

Can't say that I've ever noticed that Grabbers are worth more. A nice Maverick is a nice Maverick, regardless of if it has a 1 or a 3 in the VIN.

If your fathers car means alot to you I would fix it. s far as value being a grabber don't help much. I would rather have a soild body to start with over a rusty grabber anyday

Small bumper 71-72 Grabbers and Comet Gt's have alaways been more "appealing" to the eye and worth more in value.... due to lower production numbers as far as fixing rust never had to living in Phoenix but i can imagine it's not fun...

I agree, unless it is a nut and bolt concours restoration I would not be concerned with the authenticity.
Take Dad's hood and rear spoiler and put them on the other better car.
