the gt40 heads are from a 351 witch you will have to get a new intake and then the heads will be as close as a 351 in there so u will have to spend some serious cash for a set of headers ? $$$$$$$$ might as well put in a 351

i put a t5 in my car with a 12 pound flywheel way better it wakes the car up and gave me a smile and i don't have a 4bbl carb yet ! :thumbs2::burnout:

look at my post's and you will see what all i did to swap the t-5

or a B&M shift kit i put one in my c-4 and first gear shifted at 35 second at like 60 i think ? when you punch it

port your heads i did mine with a nibbler bit and used a air gun NOT HARD !

MSD distributor // or a points eliminator kit i used a the ACCEL kit with the MSD blaster 2 coil $ 115 out the door at kragen/oriley autoparts i noticed a lil bit of a diffrence idel's smoother and better responce but if i was to buy one again i whould buy the petronex one cost more $

The heads do not make it wider. The block deck on a 351W is taller giving the extra height and width.A 302 intake will work fine with 351W heads on a 260/289/302

id put a higher stall converter in. all these other mods will move your power band up. that takes power away from the low end and you will find out that the car doesnt jump up and go like it used to. a 2500 to 3000 stall speed should be close to what you will need with the cylinder heads.

a converter would be a nice addition, but i still maintain a set of decent aluminum heads.. better cam and thatll get u where u need to be, that should add at least 50 at the wheels, then when u do something w the short block..you will allready have a good set of heads for it! what else could make an actually 50+ hp tq at the wheels.. for the same buck? besides spray and be good for future build??
