Anyone using 2 inch lowering blocks? If so, does this require the use of longer shocks. I've noticed stock shocks don't have much travel left with 2 inch lowering blocks.
The shock mounting location won't change. The axle is the only thing that moves with lowering blocks. If you don't have much up travel at the shock, it's your springs sagging or weight in the trunk dragging the rear end down.
If the springs are sagging then the shock would be more compressed or less compressed. It seems the body would be sitting lower and the shock would be more compressed when the springs are sagging. correct? I see what you mean by the shock mounting location doesn't change. The lower flange is still against the bottom of the leaf spring. My shocks appear to be over extended.
Lower body = compressed shocks. Are they stock shocks? I suppose it's always possible that someone just found ones that would fit that weren't necessarily correct. Are you sure the shackles are stock length? Longer shackles would lift the back of the car and extend the shocks further.
