went a few counties over to guys house that just so happened to have a few mavericks laying around needless to say that they're all rough but some have some good parts, that ill be getting tomorrow here's what i found: 1970 Grabber, grabber green with white stripes, 200 1971 Grabber, factory red with white striped, 250 1974 Grabber, white with orange stripes -would have bought it but too far gone - 302 1974 2dr, blue with blue interior, 250 1972 Comet 2dr, brown with tan interior, 250 im going back after a nice black dash pad, comet front bumper, sport lamp switch, probably the sport mirrors, and anything else that i can afford the guys also had some other neat finds too. only took a few pictures, too busy running around looking for mavs. he also restores fastback mustangs as well, and has about 10 sitting around all 65-68 btw, here's the pictures.... http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i82/mean_maverick/wolfe junkyard/
Cool looking tractor! Oh, wait, I am supposed to be looking at the Mavericks... Rear bumper and grabber spoiler on the red one look ok.
TRACTOR *drool* The last one...whazzat? Looks MOPARish. Shame about the Comet grille. I hope to find a good small bumper donor car someday. I see a Sprint bench too.
yup, with sprint carpet as well '69 or so Coronet 4dr yeah, the comet grille is shot but im more worried about that bumper
btw, im going in the morning around 9am so if u see anything u might be interested in then lemme know and if i can pick it up reasonably then i will. unfortunately for me, this guy knows what he has so im having to give "good" prices for the parts
Man that's a shame about the 57 Retractable. Looks like there would still be some good parts on it. David, BTW if you run across any 61 or 62 Galaxies, could use some parts. It's good to have a set of eyes in KY to spot these kind of things. - Matt
nope, they're orange didnt see any 61-62 cars.... seen a couple 64's and one '65 there's also another '57 there that i remember seeing but didnt get a shot of it
What kind of steering wheel is on the 70 Grabber? I'd be interested if it was the three spoke rimblow. -Corbin
