8" wheel up front

I need to know what offset i can use on a 8" wheel up front and have full steering travel. also will a 255/60/15 fit up front

 

With that size wheel and tire you are going to rub on the inside and outside without body modifications.

I recently tried a 7" wheel with a 2-3/4 backspace and a 70 series tire and it cleared everything but the front valance fine I would really like to get a 8" under the front

 

I ran 215/60r15 on a 7" rim, and get within a pinky-width of hitting the valence.

I doubt you could 255 under there at all.

 

Scott; I run the same setup, with a 4.5" backspace on the wheels, and it clears everything very well.

 

what was your backspacing

 

I couldn't tell you without taking them off, but does 3.5" sound right? I seem to recal that number.

 

a way that you may be able to clear the front valance is to some alignement shims in the front bolt for the upercontrole arm mount and then have the caster readjusted. this will move the wheel back in the wheelwell and MAY give you the clearance your looking for. when our cars are lowered, one controle arm moves forward and the other moves back due to the way the bushings screw on the shaft. that didnt sound right.

 

That would look pretty mean,but I dont see it being possible without some mods or looking like a total Tijuana car..

 

4,4.5,5" of back space anyone?

 

I think mine are 8's... but their 14's. I also seem to recall having to round the bottom corners a little at the fronts.

 

I ordered some wheels after alot of thought guess we will see how they fit

 

I like em low and wide. The wider the better . What you get? The 15x8?

But the rest of the car looks NICE
