I've been looking around my local area and craigslist, all the hot spots and even just driving around.. and have found one thing that reall irked me...

I'd go in to look at a car that was advertised at XXX price, then when I come they see I'm a "kid" and they fork the price up alot... Then I end out just looking the car over and saying oh sorry thats to much..

    Anyone have this problem?

I've known some people to not sell or jack up the price of a vehicle because they didn't want a teenager to wreck or tear the vehicle up.

Yeah, but I am looking for my first car to restore :(

And it wouldn't matter what I think they are worth, it is the pure fact they advertised it for less....

and I use Nada price guides...

Looks like I'll take him or BryanT when he can, since he knows quite a bit about these cars:bowdown:

Got to make sure I don't make any dumb mistakes on my first car, and first maverick!

If you go to buy a car, and the price was advertised already, then that should be the price. But if you come off the wrong way, maybe they don't want to deal with you?

They(sellers) tend to sing a different tune if you have cash in hand. Most sellers dont want to deal with tire kickers. When you go to look, let em know your serious.
    Money talks...:yup:

    I agree...Some people are just rumps...

I once bought a car for half of the advertised price. I think the biggest motivator was the cash. He was also a nice guy and seemed to understand my reasoning to needing a deal. It was for my son for his first car. So there are those who can reason. Don't let it get to you and just move on till you see one you actualy want. If you had really wanted one of them cars you would be excited to no end and be trying to find a way to get it. I don't sense the excitement..YET.
