If its pro comp from australia then they get their stuff from china. A simple google search and youll see how crappy their products are. Why not run a factory duraspark system? Its more than enough for a street/strip car. Distributor and ignition box at junkyard 25, another 25 for a new coil,cap/rotor, o ring..... It ends up being 50 bucks for one of the best ignition setups for our cars. Or you can run one of MSD boxes for under 150, which is still less than the pro comp stuff.

I only bought one pro comp product. A fuel regulator. It worked for about 90 minutes then left me stuck with 1 psi fuel pressure. Hit it with screwdriver and it jumps back to 5 psi. hit it again and get 1 psi. What a piece of junk. Never again will I buy anything pro comp. Cheap Chinese crap.

I have heard those distributors are junk. There have been several instances of them coming apart

The only thing Pro-Comp, that I am running on my Cleveland, is an aluminum water pump.

I was aiming towards their ignition at first but, reading all of the negative feedback, I waited until I could afford MSD and bought my distributer and 6A box from them instead.

It is settled, no procomp ignition for me. I have thought about, if the voltage output would be what it is supposed to be, and if there would be any quality to it. Just wishful thinking on my part. Thanks for chiming in guys.

Yes, I bought a ready to run distributor from Whites performance on ebay. The only place that I could get a replacement cap was from him. I'm just gonna steer clear of the procomp electronics. Is'nt that ironic, the company is called "procomp electronics". :hmmm:

Theres actually two companies. Pro comp from australia. And pro comp electronics from Canada. They both sell chinese stuff though.

the procomp from austrailia was procomp racing and they got sucked up by procomp electric, just like the parker racing was that made the old parker funnelweb down in australia. If you get an australian made funnelweb then it is 100 times the intake that the chinese one is.(but there is also a procomp suspension but it is a different company)
