Junkyards or some of the members on this board. The maverick is very similar to the mustang suspension wise. A 71 came 4lug from the factory. Does it have disc brakes upfront?

I think the 250 started as an option in 71 with the 302... With the 170 and 200 as the only options for 70 but I forgot lol As far as parts sources go, I use either my local junkyards or this board... Plenty of good guys/girls here to help you out. As for the hood http://dragglass.com/DragGlass.htm has a 3" hood

Dave is right on the "4 lugs only" being on a 70. Along with your 250 engine, also not available on a 70, is it possible that you car is in fact a 71?

Post your VIN number and the menbers here will decode it for you :tiphat:

'73 was the first year of the five lugs, although it's not difficult to find parts to convert the earlier cars over. It is pretty common to see the '70-'72s switched over.:)

Check the first number of the Vin if it's a 0 then it's a 70. Post what parts you need in the wanted section on here. Lots of guys have parts for sale. Most motor and suspension parts are available at places like NAPA or Auto Zone. Body and interior parts from here or Ebay, or Junkyard.:)

You should not post false information, if you are not sure what you are posting is correct.

the first year for 5 lug was 1971 with the 302 there are also some I6, 250 CID that came 5 lug in 1972, and in 1973 and after almost all 250 and 302 equipt cars came with 5 lug and then at some point the went to 5 lug only.

Judging by your VIN# it is a 1970 and has been converted from 4 lug to 5 lug.
