    OK, another question, but related:

What size/offset muffler do I want? Do most maverick mufflers fit best with a certain in/out offset...

AND...Does anyone know if I need catylitic converter on 76 to pass inspection/emissions?

No you dont need a catalytic convertor to pass IM in Utah you just need your car to pass the sniffer test for the 76 model year.

I have longtube summit headers 2 1/2" pipes with an X pipe installed and the thrush flowmaster knockoffs, really with the 3 chamber they sound allot like super 44's, and everyone says the car sounds really good, guess the best comment I heard was from one of my co-workers he said your car is how the maverick should have sounded off the showroom floor they would have sold allot more.
I would say if your around Ogden any time soon holler at me and we could meet up and let you hear it, I will probably be down in Ogden junkyarding this weekend, I know John would be more then up for seeing everyone if you are up for meeting up. (y)

Thanks for the advice! Are you positive about the Cats? Maybe I can pass the sniff, but do I need them for the visual? Is there somewhere you can link me to or call to verify this?

I would love to meet up but I think that next weekend is a bit soon for me. I am in the middle of selling my truck and picking up my Mav over the next week or two. And then getting the Mav ready for registration and safety/emissions.

I confirmed that cats are not required in utah for my. Thanks.

And I bought a couple mufflers. They are Flowmaster Super 44's. Thanks everyone for the advice and warm welcome

:Handshake Hey if you guy's are going junk yarding this weekend 02/11/12 on 17th street in Ogden give me a call I'll try and meet you there I'll pm you both my phone number. I saw a Vega panel wagon at the junk yard acoss the street from B & D (is it?) So I walked over and asked him what other old cars he had since you can't peek in through the fence he told me B & D gets first dibs on every thing he gets for what ever that means.
