so i just got my P/S drop bracket from jegs (#30781) only to find out that it wont fit like it should, it wont fit flush against the frame, I dont have the headers on right now so I dont know how well it will clear them. Dose anyone know of one that actually works? I was thinking about just modifying it to fit instead of sending it back and possibly getting another one that dose not fit right.

I had to take the grinder to mine, to make it fit properly. Actually, the instruction sheet, that came in the Hooker box, says that you will probably have to grind it to make it fit properly. Just put the bracket up aginst the frame, where the bolt holes line up and mark the bracket where ever it is touching something, that is holding it off and grind that area off. It won't hurt a thing to modify it, to make it fit. I remember having to grind a corner off of mine, to get it to fit.

I had to bend mine and grind a little if my memory is good. I also had to tack weld the bottom in a couple of places because it kept coming loose. It's been there since 1998, so I guess it's good now.

btw: It is a Hooker part

Just be sure and watch the frame after you get it going. Lots of guys have had the brackets rip the frame rail, or the brackets themselves to bend.

Mine pulled the inserts out of the frame rails. But that wasn't too big of a deal, we just welded it solid to the frame rail.
