Instrument panel lights out--again!

    1971 Comet (sold to scrapper), 1974 Comet GT
    LED conversion. It's relatively simple. Just need 3 or 4 LEDs, 3 or 4 resistors around 100 ohms, a 5 volt regulator, a switch, a key on power source, and a solid ground. I actually posted schematics and part lists on here when I did it about 2 years ago.

    was the fuse the same sizes in amps?

    was the fuse the same sizes in amps?

    I believe it was . . . just in case, what should it be. Maybe its never been right and I'm just replacing what it was with more of the same bad connection! lol Thanks for any info.

    Sounds like we need to chase down a possible short (to ground). But first,


    1. Just so we are on the same page, can you verify that the fuse that keeps blowing is indeed the instrument panel lights fuse? http://www.1bad6t.com/Maverick/repair/chassis_electrical_04.html
    2. It should be a 4-amp fuse (fuse #3 in the above diagram)

    i didnt no the amps but this guy should help and yea sounds like something is shorting out
