    well went to the dragway tonight best time the maverick got was 18.2225 @73mph in a 1/4 i dont think thats bad for a motor that make 144 hp

    do you?

    your absolutely rite.its not the time or speed that we do for most of us. its the amount of fun and the feeling of accomplichment that you have acheived a dependable car that you can drive or beat the snot out of. every time I do a pass ,I,m trying to better my previous run.JMO Ron:drive:

    Those are good times for street tires/250 engine.

    I've seen V8 cars around here run 18s lol Hopefully they'll open up our track again .

    yea i seen a few v8s with some time really close to me

    I one time ran a 18 sec. flat with a 51 chevy with a 261 6 cyl, 3 on the tree with the stock 4.11 rear gears. I did have 2 one baral carbs and split manifold but I beat 3 v8 cars in the process and the smallest one was a 300 cu. in. Good job having fun with what you have.
