As some of you know I am trying to sell my car. I just got offered the lowest offer as of yet.
This is the email he sent me.

I could be interested in a Maverick, I missed one in Nebraska that was perfect!
    He got $3500 for it...
Your price is in your imagination!
I just finished a 1969 Mustang, have over $25,000 invested, but with the market,
I would be lucky to get half that back, so I will keep it.
If you ever come down to earth on your price I might go $2,500.... Not an insult!
Just looking for a new Ford project I have a 351W, and a C6, looking for a car to hop up....
    What-ever, the best of luck!!!

I just had to laugh at this, what is he thinking?
So I wrote him back this.

I think you are the one with the imagination if you think I am going to give it away. Hate to tell you but a 71 Maverick sold a few months ago on Mecum for $26,500. Plus everything on my car is original. I am not saying I am going to get what I am asking, but I have had offers close to what I am wanting. So good luck finding a project. Which mine is not, mine is car show ready.

Just thought I would share a funny moment.

He is a jerk. Plane and simple. I like how he says when you come down to earth he might be interested, and then says "not an insult" What else is that meant to be?

Ya, I just have to laugh at it.
He just sent me a email back saying I should have taken the my highest offer.
I know I would get low balled, but this is silly.

Just some cheap a$$ that'll never have, or has never had a car as nice as yours, and has no idea what is involved to build a car as nice as yours.

Doesn't matter what you have ever been offered. Anytime I have a car for sale, I always have a bottom dollar in my head that no matter what I will not go below. At some point you have to draw a line in the sand and not cross it. Good for you for brushing the guy off. Someone out there wants your car and is willing to pay you your price.

It's one thing to try to get a guy down on price, but it's a stupid moron that first insults you and then tries to get your price down!
I have no patience with idiots like that. You insult me and make me mad, and the price goes up for having to put up with you!

Like Dave said, a blowhard that doesn't have and never will have anything.

I own a 2004 Mustang Mach I that I built along with suspension upgrades for the German Autobahn and I certainly did this with the expectation that what $$$ I have into it will never come out of it.

And, I have decided to sell it since I've gone in an entirely different direction with my Mavericks and Comets.

However, why this dork mentions something off subject is beyond my comprehension.

He definitely has no clue to car value and if he seeks inexpensive, have him check the local salvage yard for a project.

    Don't listen to the moron.

Probably some kid thinking he us so smart. Doesn't have a nickle to his name. There are some real jerks that try to low ball on a purchase. Some think I am the buyer and I am in control because you need to sell it. Had that happen on a camper I sold. I told him to buy something else as he was looking at the wrong one. He tried other buyer approaches and was wasting my time. The next person to look at it, bought it for my price.
