OK, IF the 250 is shot, I'm just going to put a 302 in her.

Where can I get the frame mounts? (Need part numbers)

The 250 radiator can be used (yay - just until I get an aluminum, though), correct?

The 250 has a... c4 tranny? (3 spd auto here) Will it live behind a basically stock 302, for at least 6 months, provided it's not punished? It was also rebuilt about 4 months ago.

Let me make sure i have this right...

    1) unbolt the starter/tranny/ (prep work)
    2) Pull the 250 (wow.. almost forgot that part :D)
    3) Unbolt the current frame mounts, bolt the 302 frame mounts in place
    4) bolt up the motor mounts
    5) slide the 302 in place
    6) bolt the tranny back up.

How about the throttle linkage? Will the 250's work?

    Anything I'm missing?

get out your note pad...the cable will work but a v/8 cable is better. the tranny will work fine. you do need to get a v/8 torque converter. the radiator is fine too. just make sure you use a 302 fan. try and find a fan shroud. a new thermostat is a good ide. as far as the frame mounts go, post in the "parts wanted" section. somebody should help you.
    best of luck

You can use the 250 torque converter. Been running in mine for years.

You need a different transmission crossmember or the exhaust "y" pipe will hit. If you are interested I have the frame mounts, transmission crossmember, V8 thottle cable, V8 frame belly bar, and the wiring harnass for the V8 that goes to the coil, oil, and temperature sending units.

just a note on the torque converters......the 250 has a stall of about 700 rpm and the 302 has a stall off about 900 stock so thats the only difference so it will work unless you put a cam in it
