Got a Granada 8" rear end. Need to swap it in. Has brackets for leaf springs only... doesn't have the little 45 degree angle "dog ear" kind of tabs coming off those brackets, used for the shocks, as does the rear end in the Maverick. What's the best way to go on fixing this? I suppose I could get some hellacious thick flat-iron and weld some onto the brackets of the Granada rear end? It's not really feasible to cut the brackets off the old rear end and use them on the granada rear end is it? That would ruin both the brackets and the rear end in the process, I'm pretty sure.

    Help please!

Put a plate between the spring and mount with an ear on it for the shock. It will raise the rear a bit but only as much as the thickness of your plate.

Mustangs Plus has these, I used something like this from Total Control, which worked with the 3" axle tubes in my car.

The shock mounts are on the spring plates, not the rear end...

All you need to do is mount the Granada rear with the Maverick hardware.
That would include the plate with the shock mounts...
