what are you gonna do with it??

First thing you need to decide is what you are gonna do with it, then you can purchase the motor that best meets your needs. If you are gonna be doing alot of racing and/or using alot of nitrous or boost you will need heavy duty components which means more cost. I bought my engine from coast and was happy about the short block, but the cylinder heads actually had the wrong springs on them. I have sinced changed out the cam and entire valvetrain. So answer these two questions and maybe we can better answer your question, what are you gonna do with the car? and how much power do you want to make??

Sounds to me like you want a good street motor that you might take to the strip every now and then. To make those kind of horsepower #'s I would suggest going with a hydraulic roller setup and a good set of aftermarket heads. I would suggest the Performer RPM heads......as far as the stroker part goes, that all depends on how much $$ you want to spend. All the forged steel components are nice but I don't think you need all forged steel stuff. You'll probably be alright with a nodular iron stroker crank, a good set of I-beam rods and a good set of pistons. If you plan on using nitrous or boost in the future make sure you use forged pistons, cast pistons will melt.
