Hi everyone, I am an owner of a 1974 Maverick that was given to me from my grandfather in 1983 when I turned 16 and I now 42 (43 in 4 days ugh). When I got the car it only had 42,000 miles on it and it now has 108,000 and still runs great although the body now has lots of rust on it and the interior needs lots of work. My son and I are slowing doing a restore and we are currently in need of the radiator fan shroud for our straight 6, 250 motor. I know this is a difficult part to come by but is there any compatible shrouds that will fit, from a Ford V8 perhaps? I know the fan does not sit in the center of the radiator like the V8 does but I am very good at fabrication as I did fabrication and design at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing for 10 years so moving the radiator would be easy for me. So heres the big question, which fan shroud would fit my radiator? 302, 289 or what others? I have A/C and the top hose is on the passenger side (right) while the bottom hose is on the drivers side(left), I am trying to avoid getting the electrical fan but if I have to then I guess I don't have a choice. thanks for any advice!

Welcome from Redondo Beach! I have heard that other 302 powered Fords of the same era will fit(Mustang, Cougar, etc.) but I'm not too sure of this..
