Grafting a 71-73 Mach1 NACA scoops to a maverick hood. I have been toying with this idea for a while. My concern is with the design of my front spoiler/grill this hood would be to flat. I like the way the comet scoop helps build to the roof line.

    What do you guys think?

Someone posted a pic of a Maverick that had this done.
It was in a thread in the last month or so...
I will see if I saved it to my 'puter.
I do that alot... I have a folder with about 500 Mav/Com pics that I have saved from the net over the years. & I add more everyday.

I've thought about it before myself. I think the hood ratio showed looks great. It's a shame it's not on a nice finished car to give a better idea. I think it would be sweet on a slicked out small bumper car.
 Hmmm, maybe I need to contact that guy and talk him out of that hood. I'd then have the only Shelby Mav hood and Mach I Mav hood. :bouncy: (Until Thack builds one anyway)

that car is in tucson,az and the underside of the hood is not completly finished. we looked at that car a couple months before we found mine and desided it wasnt worth the wanted $3500 for what we wanted to do.
