    Don't do it!

James, I drove my maverick for a week with an exhaust system consisting of a pair of glass packs welded to my reducers.
    It was horrible.
Trust me, the novelty will wear off very quickly.
I now have 3" duals with 40 series Flowmasters and turn downs at the rear axle and it's still pretty noisy, but tolerable inside.
Open exhaust is a good way to make you dread driving your hot rod.
    .
    How's the '75 treating you?

If you want open exhaust, get those cut outs from jegs. with the pull of a knob, its open. that gives you temporary excitement which is perfect for what I would use it for. : Set off all the alarms of the mercedes and farraris at my rich kid school! haha

Do pack a pair of earplugs, as open exhaust can be permanently damaging. I remember driving my ol 67 stang I used to have 15 miles to the exhaust shop with open headers, man my ears rang when I got out of the car!

Those Flanged Inserts are for the race track not the street, go to a good muffler shop and have them build you a nice system. Yes it's going to cost you some money but you'll be happier in the end.

    As always just my 02
