Appearently AutoKrafters no longer carrys the radiator I was going to get... so does anyone know of a good 3 row or 2 row radiator that I can use with my straight 6, but that also isn't bad for a v8... I would prefer to NOT spend 250 dollars, but don't want to pay 80 dollars in shipping either... Has anyone heard of or used A Silla radiator? http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/d...illaQQRadiatorQQ19701973QQSILLA0329.html#desc Or could this one fit? http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/s...Base/SILLA0339AA.html?tlc=Engine+&+Drivetrain
I second the Champion radiator that PaulS mentioned. They're made for our cars and fit both the 6 and 8 engines. You can find them on Ebay (where I got mine) or their website. They're California based, I'd have to look up the phone number. Big rads though, works well with just about anything Mavs can have.
Go to EBAY and do a search for Champion Alum Radiators; u'll find radiators for our cars. I put one in abt 2 weeks ago. I paid $209.00 shipped to Chicago. I had to notch out a sml piece of the front cross to clear the radiator drain and a sml notch on the other side to clear the bottom edge on the drivers side - no big deal - took abt 40 mins. Also if you want the stock you might want to try www.radiatorbarn.com they have abt any rad u want. I have not done bussiness w/ them so can't say abt their policy. I will say u can't go wrg w/ Champion - If u don't want the unit, send it back - no problem. Gud Luck
I was looking at Chamption from another thread, and if I went v8 it would be option number one, but I need a radiator without the radiator fan, and don't want to void the warrenty or anything by taking the fan off... do they have any that fit our cars that DO NOT come with the fan?
I just bought a 3 cored from Advanced auto. The 2 cores are original looking, direct bolt in and under 200$
I was looking at advance also.... but wasn't sure what would be a good fit or if I went to a v8, what else I would need... Do you know the part reference number or anything?
Yeah, I found this on the forums and anwsered my own question... http://championcooling.com/champion%20maverick/maverick_339aa.html The Lifetime limited warranty is appealing, depending on the limits, LOL. That is if I can fit it into my v8 budget, Might need to save up about 400 more dollars to make it work, lol...
That is the one I found, but it says that I doesn't fir my 70 Maverick... which I thought was kind of funny... is there a reason why it doesn't think so?
I bought this one from Advanced...perfect fit http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product__5894069-P_31_R%7CGRPCOOLAMS____
