    I agree with what has been said about doing the engine and trans as an assembly. Just don't try to do too much. Granted my situation was removing a 200 and reinstalling the correct 250 & C4 but I tried to do it as complete as possible. Looking back I should have removed the alternator, alternator bracket and trans cooler lines...it would have been alot easier. Those items aren't that hard to reinstall.

    I have done a V8 swap and here's what I would suggest...make sure you have good plugs in it (since they are hard to change....maybe go platinums) and have a short section of exhaust already on the manifolds (unless you're going with headers) so the exhaust shop can complete it out the back. That stuff is hard to get to on a V8.
