    It's no bad news...

I knew he put quite a bit of 'blending' into the door area.
If he used the rearward part of a Mav fender, I suppose he did.

However, I would like to note that I saw the car close up before any blending or grafting was done.
    The fender fit.
The door line was horrible, but the fender fit.
It's not like it was way off.
It fit against the cowl panel and windshield.
The Stang hood was the exact same width as the Mav hood, which is the cowl panel width.
The back of the Stang hood didn't follow the upward sweep of the cowl panel, however with the cowl hood scoop, it was hidden.

I believe the mod might be easier with fiberglass fenders.

Your right it is nice to see better pictures and the guy did a great job. I shocks me that it fits. I have a 70 mustang and the engine compartment is the same as the 68. Wider than the maverick but I wouldn't even thing the sheet metal would fit.

Here's the rest of the pics I could find of the car.

If I had know it's ultimate destiny, I probably would have taken far more pics of it.

I would have caught it on it's best days too.
It didn't look too bad right after he got the front cap fitted.
He bought all new grille, bumper, trim, etc...
The pics of the car (pre-final wreck) were taken after he wrecked all the new parts...
That is why it is parked under the house covered in dust.
After that 2nd wreck, he was disgusted and parked it for several months.
The 3rd wreck was the 'charm'.
