I plan to use this method when I'm ready to do mine.

I book marked that page for reference when I do my windshield. I am hesitant as far as, removing chrome trim. My trim is in good shape and don't want to damage it. Thks for posting.

I believe it is worth it also. Does your glass guy install on site? I was browsing the web and saw and add for a \replacement frm an outfit named www.Windshieldstogo.com installed for $345.00 - $245.00 glass purchase. Does that sound about right?

I'll have the next one installed, going to wait a bit. Taking a couple of fishing trips, and might buy another RC plane first.

I don't know abt gasket. I have the gasket I bought the entire gasket kit sometime ago. I will call them to inquire. I have Haggerty too. My glass has a lot of tiny spots "like sand or fine metal shavings from someone grinding metal close by the windshield. It is not really that bad until certain time of day facing into the sun, it gets a little annoying. I think I will contact ins. co and see what they say or who they recommend in my area.

Why doesn't your wind shield have that nasty sticky tar that is the worst thing to be placed on a car? I'm jealous.

Why do some cars have it, and some dont?
